What is POSORIA?
POSORIA is a point of sale (POS) system for WooCommerce. It turns your existing WooCommerce store into a complete in-person register you can run from any modern web browser, while inventory, orders, and customers stay in sync with your online shop.
Do I need WooCommerce to use POSORIA?
Yes. POSORIA runs on top of WooCommerce, so WooCommerce must be installed and active. Your products, stock, taxes, and orders all live in WooCommerce. POSORIA adds the in-store selling layer on top of it.
How do I install POSORIA?
You can install POSORIA in two ways:
  • From the WordPress dashboard: go to Plugins, Add New, search for "POSORIA", then Install and Activate.
  • From a ZIP file: go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, choose your POSORIA ZIP, Install, then Activate.

After activation a POSORIA menu appears in wp-admin and the register opens at yourstore.com/posoria/.

What are the minimum requirements?
POSORIA needs a reasonably current WordPress and WooCommerce environment:
  • WordPress 6.4 or higher
  • WooCommerce 8.0 or higher (HPOS compatible)
  • PHP 8.0 or higher (8.2 recommended)
  • A modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge
  • HTTPS is strongly recommended, especially for card terminals
Where do I open the POS after installing?
Open yourstore.com/posoria/ in any browser while logged in with POS access (administrator, shop manager, or cashier). You can also install the POS to a tablet or desktop home screen as a PWA for one-tap access.
Is there full documentation?

Will POSORIA work with my theme?
Yes. The POS runs on its own dedicated screen at /posoria/, independent of your site theme. It looks and behaves the same regardless of the theme used on your public storefront, so there is nothing to restyle.
Does POSORIA support barcode scanners and receipt printers?
Yes, with standard hardware:
  • Barcode scanners: any USB or Bluetooth scanner in keyboard-wedge mode that types into the search field.
  • Receipt printers: 80mm thermal printing is available in POSORIA Pro, which can print, download, or email receipts.
Can I run multiple registers and cashiers?
Yes. Unlimited registers and cashiers are included even in the free POSORIA Lite, with full session tracking: opening floats, cash in and out, shift handling, and a Z report when closing. Multi-store / multi-location management is on our roadmap.
Can I use POSORIA offline?
Offline checkout and sync is a POSORIA Pro feature. You can complete sales without an internet connection, and orders sync automatically once you are back online. It relies on browser storage (IndexedDB), so avoid private or incognito windows. POSORIA Lite requires an active connection.
Which payment methods can I accept?
You can enable cash, card, bank transfer, cheque, delivery, and custom tenders in settings, and split a single sale across more than one method. Integrated chip and tap payments via Stripe Terminal and Square Terminal are available in POSORIA Pro.
Does POSORIA change my online store data?
No, it works with your existing data. POSORIA uses your current WooCommerce products, stock, and customers, and creates standard WooCommerce orders for in-person sales. Stock updates follow your settings. It adds an in-person sales channel rather than replacing your storefront.
Is there a free version?
Yes. POSORIA Lite is free and includes a full POS checkout with unlimited registers and cashiers, payment methods, hold and resume carts, returns, refunds, exchanges, and an on-screen Z report when closing a shift.
What does POSORIA Pro add?
Pro adds back-office and advanced selling tools on top of Lite:
  • Offline checkout and sync
  • Stock Central and suppliers
  • Customer CRM and PDF invoices
  • Reports with CSV and accounting export
  • Expenses and notifications
  • Stripe and Square card terminals
  • Styled receipts, X reports, and staff dashboards

How much does POSORIA Pro cost?

Can I try Lite before upgrading?
Absolutely. Start with POSORIA Lite for free and upgrade to Pro whenever you need the extra tools. Preview-only Pro screens in the admin become fully available as soon as Pro is activated.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Purchase Pro from the Pricing page, download the Pro plugin ZIP from your account, then upload and activate it via Plugins, Add New, Upload. Enter your license key if the updater prompts for it.

Where is my sales data stored?
On your own server, inside your WordPress database. In-person sales are saved as standard WooCommerce orders, and POSORIA adds its own tables for registers, sessions, and POS activity. Nothing is sent to a third-party cloud, so you stay in full control of your data.
Who can access the POS and the admin?
Access is controlled by WordPress capabilities, mapped to roles by default:
  • Administrators and shop managers manage POSORIA settings, inventory, and reports.
  • Cashiers can open the POS and see only the screens their role allows.

Cashiers also receive a restricted wp-admin that hides unrelated menus and keeps them focused on POS tasks.

Is customer and payment data safe?
Customer details remain in your WooCommerce database, under your control. Card terminal payments in Pro use the PCI-compliant flows of Stripe and Square (connection tokens and payment intents), so sensitive card data is handled by the provider and never stored in your database. Always run your store over HTTPS.
What happens to my data if I uninstall POSORIA?
By default your data is kept. If you enable "Delete data on uninstall" in Settings, General before removing the plugin, POSORIA cleans up its own custom tables and options on delete. WooCommerce orders created through the POS stay in WooCommerce unless you delete them separately.
Does POSORIA need HTTPS?
POSORIA works on standard sites, but HTTPS is strongly recommended and is required in practice for card terminals. A secure connection protects staff logins, customer data, and payment flows.
How do I activate my Pro license?
After installing POSORIA Pro, enter your license key when the updater prompts you, or in the plugin license field. This unlocks Pro features and ongoing updates.
How do renewals and updates work?
A Pro license includes plugin updates and support for its term. Renewing keeps you receiving the latest features, compatibility fixes, and support. Full terms are shown on the Pricing page.

First open POSORIA, Health & Status in wp-admin to confirm your environment is healthy. Then contact us with the details and steps to reproduce, and we will take it from there. Planned items such as multi-store and the accounting admin screen are noted in our release notes.
